Welcome
Since its inception in 1995, the annual
Victoria Golf Club Charity Tournament - formerly the VGC Ladies Charity Golf Tournament - has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for deserving local recipients. For the past eleven years, the proceeds (more than $600,000) have been directed solely to the
Victoria Women’s Transition House Society. In the last two years, the tournament has provided the largest annual gift for the Shelter. The goal for 2012 is to surpass the $100,000 mark.
Many other Members offer financial support by sponsoring holes or donating goods and services for the Silent and Live Auctions. And beginning in 2010, Members held their own pre-Tournament
Monte Carlo Gala specifically to raise funds for Women’s Transition House.
New to the 2012 slate of VGC Charity events is the
Gentlemen’s Monte Carlo Golf Event. It will be played the same day as the US Open,
June 16. Players will draw one of the
names of the pros making the cut of the
US Open, thus, a “two man” team. The
Charity tournament player and the US Open player.
